When i click update driver, a driver cannot be found and the driver from intel does not work as it is only supported in windows 7. To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver. There are no compatible drivers for this device.
The drivers for this device are not installed. It seems this Host controller is the problem, and since Intel's site claims theyĭo not support "Intel(R) USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller - 0100 (Microsoft)" for win 8 or later and that the driver comes from windows I am here. after hours of searching tonight i've tried system restore updating my chipset and bios from Asus support site. Had no problem what so ever plugging in usb 3.0 and 2.0 devices.
Im am using an Asus ROG G750jx that shipped as Win 8 and was immediately upgraded to 8.1 when i got it almost a year ago. Intel(R) USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller - 0100 (Microsoft) showing up as unkown device under other devices.
